Cabinet Secretariat DFO Technical: Verify the Recruitment Notice

What did the current official page show?

The Cabinet Secretariat's official Vacancies page displayed a table headed Description, Date and Download, with no vacancy rows visible during this check. An empty page does not prove that a reported advertisement is false, that recruitment has closed, or that no recruitment exists. It does mean this page cannot confirm a current application window from that source.

Check the exact notice before acting

  1. Start from the Cabinet Secretariat website and open its Vacancies page.
  2. Find the complete advertisement, not just a vacancy headline or cropped image. Match the employer, post, advertisement number and publication date.
  3. If a report refers to Employment News, compare the full issue and notice, including every page and any corrigendum. A matching title alone does not verify the whole copy.
  4. Read the application mode and exact receiving address from the authenticated notice. Do not assume that a government job has an online form.
  5. Distinguish a last date for receipt from a posting deadline. Do not send an application based on the unverified date formerly shown here.

If a notice asks for GATE

Check the accepted score years, paper codes, degree disciplines and category conditions in that exact notice. A valid GATE score for one recruitment is not automatic eligibility for another. Do not treat GATE as the entire selection process unless the notice says so; shortlisting and later selection stages are separate questions.

Keep personal documents private

Before sending a scorecard, identity document or certificate, verify the submission route. Do not upload these to a form linked only from a forwarded message. Do not pay anyone for a promised shortlist or selection. Keep the complete notice, submitted form and any genuine receipt for your records.

What remains unverified?

This review does not confirm the vacancy count, opening or closing dates, age limit, fee, salary, accepted GATE papers, application address or selection stages of Advertisement 02/2026. Third-party reports are leads, not a substitute for the employer's complete notice. This guide does not announce an open vacancy or a closed application window.
