LIC HFL Apprentice 2026: 232 Seats, Apply by Nov 1

LIC HFL Apprentice 2026: 232 Seats, Apply by Nov 1 - original concept illustration

LIC Housing Finance Limited's Program-010 notice lists 232 apprenticeships for 12 months. This is training, not a permanent job: the notice explicitly says apprentices are not employees and LIC HFL is not obliged to offer full-time employment. Read the actual notice and any later correction before registering or paying.

What dates does the notice give?

The notice lists the online application window as October 20 to November 1, 2026. It also gives November 1, 2026 as the last date for the examination fee and additional information through BFSI SSC. The entrance examination is listed for November 7, 2026. November training and offer timings are tentative. Check for a newer correction before relying on the schedule; this article is not an application confirmation.

Who should check eligibility carefully?

The notice gives an age range of 20 to 25 years as on October 1, 2026 and graduation in any stream by that date. However, its graduation sentence also says "but not before 1-Oct-2001". That unusual cutoff is reproduced as a source inconsistency, not silently changed to a different year. Ask LIC HFL or the notified program support to clarify how it applies to you before paying. It also says candidates must not have a running, terminated or completed apprenticeship contract with another organization.

What stipend and fees are stated?

The notice lists a monthly stipend of Rs.16,650 in the named metro cities and Rs.14,150 in other cities. Fees are non-refundable: SC/ST and PwBD candidates Rs.200 plus GST; General/EWS/OBC male candidates Rs.800 plus GST; General/EWS/OBC female or transgender candidates Rs.600 plus GST. Use the notice for your category and city. Do not treat the stipend as a salary for a permanent post or pay a recruiter who promises selection.

Chandigarh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Tripura have 1 seat each; the notice lists Gangtok under West Bengal. In Gujarat, the four seats are Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Prahlad Nagar and Surat (1 each). Total: 232.

How does the application route work?

The notice directs eligible candidates to register through NATS, then complete the additional program details and fee process described by BFSI SSC. Its first NATS link contains a duplicated ".in" ending, while other links in the same PDF use nats.education.gov.in. This inconsistency is another reason to begin from verified government or LIC HFL pages rather than copying a broken address. Never give an agent your password, OTP or unredacted identity document in a public comment.

How to apply: step by step

  1. Register on the NATS portal, nats.education.gov.in, under “Student Register/Login”. The notice points to the “Candidate User Manual” on the portal if registration fails.
  2. After login, open the “LICHFL” apprenticeship advertisement and apply. Note your NATS Enrolment ID; the notice says it is needed for all future correspondence.
  3. Watch for an e-mail from BFSI SSC (info@updates.bfsissc.com) asking for your choice of districts and other details.
  4. Complete those details and pay the fee online through the payment link by 1 November 2026. Keep the receipt.
  5. Make sure the details you enter for the exam match your NATS entries exactly; the notice says a mismatch may disqualify you.
  6. The exam link and login arrive from BFSI SSC the day before the exam.

Exam-day checklist

  • Your own camera-enabled phone, tablet, laptop or desktop, with a stable internet connection
  • A private room: no one else may be near you (except for PwBD candidates, as the notice allows)
  • The same Aadhaar card you uploaded on NATS, to show as ID on camera
  • The “Information Handout” BFSI SSC e-mails to eligible candidates

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Registering on NATS but never completing the BFSI SSC form and fee step.
  • Losing your NATS login or Enrolment ID.
  • Applying after an earlier apprenticeship (running, terminated or completed) with another organisation, which the notice rules out.
  • Typing a different name spelling or date of birth in the exam registration.

Query e-mail given in the notice: apprenticeships@bfsissc.com.

What should you verify before final submission?

Match the program number, state/city seats, eligibility cutoff, category, fees and exam date against the latest notice. Save your registration confirmation and receipt privately. The PDF describes an online proctored examination, so check the current technical instructions too. This guide does not apply on your behalf, assess your personal eligibility or promise selection. If the ambiguous graduation year remains unresolved, get written clarification from the program before committing the non-refundable fee.

Frequently asked questions

Is this permanent LIC employment?

No. It is an LIC Housing Finance apprenticeship, and the notice expressly distinguishes it from employment.

Has this guide corrected the graduation year?

No. The printed 2001 wording remains flagged for official clarification; guessing another year could mislead applicants.

Can I apply after November 1, 2026?

The notice gives 1 November 2026 as the last date for applications and for the fee. Only an official extension notice would change that.

Do I need to travel for the exam?

No. The notice describes an online remote-proctored exam taken from home. Shortlisted candidates then attend document verification and interview at LIC HFL offices.

Is the fee refunded if I miss the exam?

No. The notice says fees are non-refundable whether or not you attend the test or are selected.
