Age is counted on the closing date (21.11.2026). Upper age relaxation of 5 years (SC) and 3 years (OBC-NCL) applies only where the post is reserved for that category; PwD and Ex-Servicemen relaxations follow Government of India orders.
Essential Qualification in Short
- Scientist "B": B.E./B.Tech in Materials/Metallurgical Engineering (or related materials branches listed) or Mechanical Engineering.
- Officer "B" (F&A): Bachelor's degree, for officers in Central/State Government or similar bodies holding analogous posts or with the service listed in the advertisement; application also goes through proper channel by post.
- Technical Assistant "A": B.Sc. in Physical Sciences with Chemistry, or 3-year diploma in Metallurgy, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Assistant "A": Bachelor's degree plus 3 years' administrative/finance/purchase-type experience in government or similar institutions (5 posts at Hyderabad, 1 at Gurugram).
- Technician "A": 10th pass plus 2-year ITI (Fitter, Turner or Electrician) and 3 years' technical experience.
- Driver "A": 10th pass, valid licence for light and heavy vehicles, 3 years' light and 6 years' heavy vehicle driving experience; preference to Ex-Servicemen.

Reserved candidates applying against unreserved posts pay the full fee. The fee is paid by UPI or NEFT/RTGS to the ARCI account given in the advertisement, and the bank transfer details and transaction receipt must be added to the online form. Copy the account details only from the official PDF.

What should you verify in the advertisement?
- Match the advertisement number, publication date and post code.
- Read the original PDF and any later extension or corrigendum.

How to Apply Online - Step by Step
- Open the Vacancies list and click View Details for Advt. ARCI/HRD/RECT/1/2026.
- Download and read the advertisement, general terms and the list of documents. Then pick your post and click Apply Now.
- First-time users register as "Jobseeker" with one email ID and one mobile number only, then set the password from the email link.
- Keep details and files ready before you start - the site does not allow much idle time. Tick only ONE educational qualification as the essential qualification.
- Pay the fee, enter the bank transfer details, attach the receipt and submit. Keep a printout; no printed copy is to be posted (except for Officer "B" through proper channel).

Selection Process
Scientist "B": computer based written exam, then interview. Technical Assistant and Technician: written exam, then trade/skill test. Assistant: written exam, then skill test. Driver: written exam, then skill and driving test. Officer "B": personal interview. The written exam is in English. ARCI pays no travel allowance and gives no accommodation for tests in Hyderabad.
Common Mistakes
- Leaving the application in draft - drafts are not considered.
- Registering twice with different emails or mobile numbers.
- Sending NEFT on the last day - the amount must reach ARCI by 21.11.2026.
- Using an old OBC/EWS certificate.
